The Relationship between Transformational Leadership of School Administrators and Academic Administration in Secondary Schools under the Samut Prakan Secondary Educational Service Area

Abstract
This study aimed to (1) examine the levels of transformational leadership of school administrators and academic administration in secondary schools, and (2) analyze the relationship between transformational leadership of school administrators and academic administration in secondary schools under the Samut Prakan Secondary Educational Service Area. The sample consisted of 330 secondary school teachers selected through simple random sampling. The research instrument was a five-point rating scale questionnaire with item-objective congruence (IOC) values ranging between 0.67-1.00 and an overall reliability coefficient of 0.99. Data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and Pearson’s correlation coefficient.
The findings revealed that (1) both transformational leadership and academic administration were at a high level overall, and (2) transformational leadership of school administrators was positively correlated with academic administration at a high level, with statistical significance at the .01 level. These findings provide empirical evidence supporting the role of transformational leadership in enhancing the effectiveness of academic administration in secondary schools and offer implications for educational leadership development and policy improvement.
