This research has the following objectives: 1. To study the characteristics of school administrators in the 21st century in the Chaiyawan Group, and 2. To compare the characteristics of school administrators in the 21st century in the Chaiyawan Group, classified by gender and school size. The sample group consisted of school administrators and teachers in the Chaiyawan Group under the Office of Udon Thani Primary Educational Service Area 3 in the academic year 2022, totaling 162 school administrators and teachers. The sample group was determined using Krejcie and Morgan's method and proportional stratified random sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire about the administrative characteristics of school administrators in the 21st century, using a 5-point rating scale with a reliability coefficient of 0.904. The statistics used for data analysis included percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, one-way analysis of variance, and Scheffé's post hoc test for pairwise comparisons.
The research findings revealed that:
1. The characteristics of school administrators in the 21st century in the Chaiyawan Group were overall at the highest level. When considering each aspect ranked by mean from highest to lowest in the top 3, it was found that leadership had the highest mean, followed by communication, and ethics and morality, respectively.
2. The comparison of characteristics of school administrators in the 21st century in the Chaiyawan Group under the Office of Udon Thani Primary Educational Service Area 3, classified by gender, showed no overall difference, while classification by school size revealed an overall difference that was statistically significant at the 0.05 level.
