Abstract

This article aims to examine the characteristics of monastic general education schools under the jurisdiction of District 14, namely Kuson Samakhon Wittayalai School in Bangkok, Sunthornpradit Wittayalai School in Udon Thani, and Sriwicha Wittaya School in Nakhon Pathom. The study focuses on curriculum structure, administrative management, teacher development, evaluation methods, and community participation, as well as challenges and future trends. Drawing on literature reviews, policy analyses, and existing case studies, the findings highlight the importance of adaptation to modern society, the integration of academic and Buddhist doctrinal knowledge, and the support from relevant agencies. These factors contribute to sustaining and enhancing the quality of monastic general education in District 14, ensuring the enduring role of Thai monastic education in the contemporary era.
