Publication Ethics

  1. The author shall be responsible and certify that the submitted manuscript is submitted for publication in the Pali Theravada Periscope. The author must not submit manuscripts that have already been published or are under consideration for publication in other journals.
  2. Authors must strictly comply with the criteria for submitting manuscripts for publication in the Pali Theravada Periscope Journal, including the citation system, which must also meet the criteria of the journal.
  3. The author must revise and update the manuscript to conform to the format of the journal as described in the "Instructions for Authors", especially the revision of the format of the original manuscript, in order to achieve the same standard publication format as other journals.
  4. Authors must take into account research ethics. Authors must not infringe copyright or plagiarize other people's works as their own. The journal has mandated the use of the CopyCatch program on the ThaiJo  website to check for plagiarism.
  5. The author whose name appears in the manuscript must be involved in the writing of the manuscript or research. In this regard, We strictly reserve the right not to accept those who have not been involved in the preparation of the manuscript. If no person is found to have been involved in the preparation of the manuscript. The journal will immediately revoke the manuscript.
  6. The author is responsible for referencing the content. If the author uses his or her own article, it will be used as a picture or table. The "source" must be provided to prevent copyright infringement. If a lawsuit arises, the author will be solely responsible, the journal will not be held responsible for anything, and will immediately withdraw the article from the journal.
  7. Authors must check the accuracy of the reference list in terms of format and content, and must not refer to academic articles that they have not read or have not included in the bibliography. The citations must be in the format specified by the journal.
  8. The author must complete the manuscript revision according to the evaluation results of the reviewer and the editorial board within the specified time. If you do not do so, Publication is postponed or withdrawn from the journal.
  9. The author should indicate the source of funding for the research (if any) and the conflict of interest (if any).
  10. In the original Authors must not report inaccurate information. Either by creating false information. Forgery Distortion, including embellishment, or selection to display specific information that is consistent with the conclusions.
  11. Authors should not cite documents that have already been withdrawn unless the supporting statement is related to the withdrawal process, which must be stated in the reference that it has been withdrawn.

 Ethics for editors

  1. The editor must supervise and monitor the work of the journal to ensure that it is in accordance with the policies and objectives in accordance with ethical principles. In addition, the manuscript must contain a substance that reflects the views and theoretical ideas derived from experience. Synthesis of documents or research that focuses on presenting ideas. New theories and conceptual models that enhance understanding and lead to research on important academic topics.
  5. The editor must not disclose any information about the author or reviewer to any person during the review process.
  6. The editor must not publish manuscripts that have been published in any form. Manuscripts are thoroughly checked for plagiarism on the ThaiJo journal website using a reliable program such as CopyCatch to ensure that all articles published in the journal are plagiarism-free. If plagiarism is detected in all cases, the review process must be stopped, and the editor immediately contacts the main author for clarification to "accept" or "reject".   12. Editors must supervise both themselves and their editorial board members in terms of the number and quality of journal citations that distort the facts, such as requesting permission to cite journal articles, either confidentially or openly, and citing them in an incorrect manner that is inconsistent with the content.
  13. Editors must supervise the collection of page fees or processing fees, which must be transparent, such as clearly announcing the fee collection procedure or specifying the price or conditions of the page fee as specified in the notice.

Ethics for Article Reviewers

  1. Reviewers should only review manuscripts in their field of expertise, considering the importance of the content of the article to that field of study.   4. After receiving the manuscript from the editor, the reviewer realizes that he or she may have a conflict of interest with the author, which makes it impossible to express opinions and suggestions freely. The reviewer must notify the editor and refuse to review the manuscript.
  5. Reviewers should consider the assigned topics. If it is an academic manuscript, the title may be changed, but if it is a research manuscript, only spelling errors should be considered. The title should not be changed.
  6. Reviewers must not claim any part or all of an article to be their own work.
  7. When the reviewer finds that any part of the manuscript is similar or duplicate to another manuscript. The reviewer must notify the editor with clear evidence.

Research ethics in humans and animals

Research related to humans and animals must be certified for research ethics. as follows

  1. Human research must be approved by the Human Research Ethics Committee with an Approval Number.
  2. Informed Consent is required from the research participants.
  3. Strictly maintain the confidentiality and privacy rights of participants.
  4. Research related to animals must be approved by the Animal Research Ethics Committee and take into account animal welfare.
  5. Avoid unnecessary experiments or cause undue suffering

Statement on Misconduct in Publication

        Pali Theravada Periscope Journal There is a strict process in place to deal with misconduct in publications. PTRJ is committed to maintaining and adhering to ethical standards and responding to complaints of misconduct in its publication with strict discipline.

  1. Plagiarism of the work of the Pali Theravada Periscope Journal There is a strict plagiarism checking process. Plagiarism of any type of work is considered a serious misconduct. Using someone else's work without giving credit to the true owner of the work, which may include copying part or all of the work without proper permission, is prohibited. If the original is found to be plagiarized, it will be rejected immediately.
  2. Counterfeiting The PTRJ journal strictly prohibits any alteration or distortion. The author must present reliable and accurate information. All types of forgery are considered serious offenses regarding misconduct in publication.

The author must accurately present the contributions of the participants involved in the research. The Pali Theravada Periscope Journal emphasizes honesty and transparency. All disputes must be resolved before the manuscript is submitted to the journal.
  5. Integrity in Audit by Qualified Persons: Inspectors must evaluate the manuscript with impartiality and fairness without bias or conflict of interest. The auditor must disclose any conflicts of interest that may affect the original review process. In addition, the reviewer must respect the privacy and not disclose any information about the original to any person without permission. The PTRJ Journal emphasizes the preservation of the integrity of the process by qualified persons and strictly prohibits any distortion of the process. Reviewers must suggest constructive and helpful guidelines for improving manuscripts and follow the guidelines set by the journal.
  6. Retraction and Correction Depending on the circumstances, PTRJ Journal takes measures to retract and correct errors or misconduct that have occurred in published articles. Withdrawal means the complete removal of an already published article from the system, which is carried out in case of serious misconduct. Correction means publication to correct errors or inaccurate information. This is carried out in cases of minor misconduct and does not affect the main conclusions of the journal. Withdrawals and corrections will be carried out instantly, quickly and transparently, in accordance with the guidelines of the journal.
  7. Reporting of misconduct: If misconduct is detected in publication, the Pali Theravada Periscope will allow authors, reviewers, and readers to report misconduct. There are strict procedures in place to thoroughly and systematically investigate reports of such misconduct. which is carried out appropriately with the Pali Theravada Periscope Journal. It is committed and devoted to the integrity of a rigorous, unwavering and continuous process to protect and eliminate misconduct in any publication in order to promote the trust of authors, reviewers, critics and readers. The Pali Theravada Periscope Journal adheres to the highest standards of scholarly publication and ethical standards at all stages. When misconduct occurs in any publication, the Pali Theravada Periscope Journal will take appropriate action promptly in accordance with the guidelines and standards set by the journal.
