The provision of infrastructure services by of ban yuak subdistrict administrative organization, nam som district, udon thani province

Abstract

           The objectives of this research were: 1. To study the level of infrastructure services, 2. To compare the level of infrastructure services classified by personal characteristics, and 3. To propose guidelines for improving the quality of infrastructure services in Ban Yuak Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Nam Som District, Udon Thani Province. This research employed both quantitative and qualitative methods. The sample group was determined from 7,759 residents aged 18 years and above, using Taro Yamane's formula, resulting in a sample of 381 people. Data were collected using questionnaires with content validity ranging from 0.66 to 1.00 and reliability of .855. Data analysis used statistical methods including percentage, mean, and standard deviation for general information of the sample group. Inferential statistics, including t-test and F-test, were used to compare infrastructure services of Ban Yuak Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Nam Som District, Udon Thani Province, classified by gender, age, education level, and occupation.

            Research findings: 1. The overall level of infrastructure services provided by Ban Yuak Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Nam Som District, Udon Thani Province was at a high level. 2. Comparing infrastructure services of Ban Yuak Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Nam Som District, Udon Thani Province among respondents with different personal characteristics, the study found that respondents with different genders, ages, and occupations had significantly different opinions on infrastructure services at the statistical significance level of .05. Regarding education level, respondents with different education levels did not have significantly different opinions on infrastructure services, both overall and in specific aspects. 3. Recommendations for development include: Village roads should be constructed according to standards to ensure longevity, with quality inspections conducted after construction to ensure compliance with standards. Knowledge support should be provided regarding management to the village water supply system administration and maintenance committee. The budget should be increased for renovating water pipes and finding additional raw water sources for villages experiencing water shortages during February to May every year to ensure efficient operations.
