Abstract
The main objective of this research was to study the relationship between the skills of school administrators in the 21st century and motivation to work in schools under the Office of the Primary Educational Service Area 1, Nong Bua Lamphu. The sample group used in this research was school administrators and teachers. The sample size was determined using the Krejcie & Morgan formula, resulting in 322 people. The instrument used for data collection was a questionnaire consisting of 3 parts. The statistics used for data analysis were descriptive statistics, including numbers, percentages, means, and standard deviations. Inferential statistics included Pearson’s product moment correlation coefficient. The reliability of the questionnaire was 0.785.
The research results found that :
1. The skills of school administrators in the 21st century are at a moderate level overall. When considering each aspect, it was found that the aspect with the highest average value was technology skills, followed by creativity skills, and the aspect with the lowest average value was moral and ethical skills.
2. The motivation to work in schools is at a high level overall. When considering each aspect, it was found that the aspect with the highest average value was position advancement, followed by respect, and the aspect with the lowest average value was work success.
3. The relationship between the skills of school administrators in the 21st century (Xtot) and work motivation (Ytot) in schools under the Office of the Primary Educational Service Area 1, Nong Bua Lamphu, according to the opinions of school administrators and teachers, is generally positively related at a low level (rxy = 0.211) with a statistical significance of 0.01.
