BUDDHADHAMMA APPLICATION FOR PROMOTING POLITICAL AWAKENING OF NAKHON RATCHASIMA CENTRAL PRISON OFFICERS

Abstract

The objectives of this research article are 1. to study the level of political awareness of Nakhon Ratchasima Central Prison officers, 2. to study the relationship between the 4 principles of Iddhipada and the political awareness of Nakhon Ratchasima Central Prison officers, and 3. to present the application of Buddhist principles to promote political awareness of Nakhon Ratchasima Central Prison officers. This research is a combined method research. Quantitatively, it was done using a questionnaire with a confidence coefficient of 0.954 on a sample of 100 people. Then, the statistics selected for data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. and carried out a Pearson correlation analysis. and qualitative by in-depth interviews with 9 key informants or people.

The results of the research found that: 1. The level of political awareness of Nakhon Ratchasima Central Prison officers. Overall, it was at a high level ( =4.43). 2. The relationship between the 4 Iddhipada principles and the political awareness of Nakhon Ratchasima Central Prison officers was found to have a positive relationship overall. It is at a high level (R=0.724**) with statistical significance at the 0.01 level, so the research hypothesis is accepted. 3. The application of Buddhist principles to promote political awareness of Nakhon Ratchasima Central Prison officers found that 1) Chantha, satisfaction, show political behavior with willingness. See the importance of exercising voting rights Support democratic activities and be aware of their own political rights and duties; 2) perseverance, showing political behavior with determination in exercising voting rights Study the candidate's policies. and seeking opportunities to participate in politics. 3) Chitta, appeasement. Show political behavior by following the news regularly. Analyze information before deciding to vote. and give importance to political rights and the impact of policies; and 4) Vimansa considers reasons. Demonstrate political behavior by using reason to analyze policies. Verify information from multiple sources. Assess the impact and make political decisions with discretion
