BUDDHA-DHAMMA APPLICATION FOR ENHANCING ELECTION CAMPAIGN PRACTICES OF SUBDISTRICT COUNCIL MEMBERS IN DONG YAI SUBDISTRICT, PHIMAI DISTRICT, NAKHON RATCHASIMA PROVINCE

Abstract

The objectives of this research article are 1) to study the level of election campaigning of members of the Dong Yai Subdistrict Administrative Organization Council, Phimai District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. 2) to study the relationship between the 3 principles of honesty and the election campaigning of the Dong Yai Subdistrict Administrative Organization Council members, Phimai District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, and 3) to present the application of Buddhist principles to promote the election campaigning of Dong Yai Subdistrict Administrative Organization Council members, Phimai District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. This research is a combined research method as follows. The quantitative data collection process was done using a questionnaire with a confidence coefficient of 0.910 with a sample of 324 people. Then, the statistics selected for data analysis included frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. and carried out a Pearson correlation analysis. and in-depth interviews with 9 key informants or people. The results of the research found that: 1. The level of election campaigning of the members of the Dong Yai Subdistrict Administrative Organization Council, Phimai District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. Overall, it is at a high level ( =4.05). 2. The relationship between the 3 principles of honesty and the election campaigning of members of the Dong Yai Subdistrict Administrative Organization Council, Phimai District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province found that the 3 principles of honesty, overall, and the election campaigning of Members of the Dong Yai Subdistrict Administrative Organization Council, Phimai District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, overall have a positive relationship. Is at a moderate level (R=0.645**) with statistical significance at the 0.01 level. Therefore, the research hypothesis is accepted. 3. Application of Buddhist principles to promote election campaigning for members of the Dong Yai Subdistrict Administrative Organization Council, Phimai District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. It was found that 1) honest body, right behavior with the body Concrete action through a transparent campaign process Respect election laws and without buying the right to sell votes 2) Honest speech, behaving rightly with speech Communicate policies creatively and truthfully Do not slander your competitors. or make impossible promises; and 3) honest conscience, acting right from the heart. It is an important foundation for building public consciousness and making sacrifices for the public. Applicants must have right view.
