Peer Review Policy
At the Thai Arts and Culture Review, we take the quality, accuracy, and ethical integrity of our published research very seriously. We believe the peer-review process is essential to ensuring that the articles we publish meet the highest standards of scholarship and rigor.
Our peer review process is designed to be fair, transparent, and rigorous. Here are the key features of our peer review policy:
1. Open Peer Review: All articles submitted to our journal undergo an open peer review process, meaning that the reviewers' names are included on the peer review reports for authors. In addition, if the article is published, the reviewers’ names will be included. This helps ensure the review process is transparent and unbiased, as the handling editor and peer reviewers are fully accountable for their decisions.
2. Expert Reviewers: We carefully select at least two reviewers who have expertise in the topic area of the article under review. Our reviewers are typically academics, researchers, or practitioners with relevant knowledge and experience.
3. Rigorous Review Criteria: Our reviewers are asked to evaluate articles based on a set of criteria that includes the originality and significance of the research, the clarity and coherence of the argument, the quality of the methodology and data analysis, and the overall contribution to the field. Furthermore, strict adherence to the journal's formatting guidelines and ethical standards regarding the non-use of Generative AI for content creation are critical criteria for acceptance.
4. Timely Review Process: We strive to provide authors with a timely review process, typically aiming to provide feedback within 1-4 weeks of submission.
5. Revision and Mandatory Self-Certification: If an article is accepted pending revisions, the author(s) will have the opportunity to revise and resubmit their article. Upon resubmission, authors are REQUIRED to upload the completed and signed "Author Self-Certification Form for Revised Manuscript Submission" as a supplementary file. We will then conduct a further review to ensure the revisions address the reviewers' feedback and that the manuscript complies with the certified conditions.
6. Editorial Oversight and Post-Acceptance Verification: Our editorial team is responsible for overseeing the peer review process and making final decisions on whether to accept or reject articles for publication. However, the Editorial Board reserves the right to conduct a detailed post-acceptance verification within 30 days of issuing the Letter of Acceptance. If any violation of the Author Self-Certification (e.g., failure to address reviewers' comments or use of Generative AI) is detected, the Editorial Board reserves the right to revoke the acceptance and withdraw the manuscript immediately.
We believe our peer-review policy is an essential component of our commitment to publishing high-quality research and analysis. We are committed to continuously improving our peer-review process to ensure it remains rigorous, fair, and transparent.
