Article Types
Thai Arts and Culture Review (TACR) welcomes submissions of two main article types:
• Original Research Articles: Empirical studies that provide original and meaningful contributions to the understanding of arts and culture within Thailand and its wider region. Submissions should clearly articulate research questions or hypotheses, utilize appropriate and rigorous methodologies (qualitative, quantitative, mixed methods, case studies, policy analysis, or ethnographic approaches), present compelling results, and discuss implications for theory, policy, and practice. The focus should be on advancing knowledge about arts and culture, including their social, historical, and contemporary dimensions.
• Comprehensive Review Articles: Critical syntheses of existing literature that map current knowledge, identify theoretical or empirical gaps, and propose new perspectives or frameworks. Accepted reviews include systematic reviews, meta-analyses, state-of-the-art syntheses, and integrative or conceptual reviews that clarify debates, highlight future research directions, or suggest policy implications relevant to arts and culture in Thailand and beyond.
Publication Frequency
Thai Arts and Culture Review (TACR) is published biannually, with two volumes per year:
• No. 1: January - June
• No. 2: July - December
While articles accepted within each period are scheduled for immediate online publication upon completion of the final production, the total number of articles per issue will be determined by the editorial team to maintain a balanced publication. This may include incorporating accepted articles received shortly after the timeframe or adjusting the order to ensure a consistent volume, with some articles possibly shifted to the subsequent issue for optimal fit.

Thai Arts and Culture Review (TACR) is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic rigor through a rigorous and transparent open peer review process. All submitted manuscripts undergo review by at least three suitably qualified experts in the relevant field. The review process is open, fostering constructive dialogue between authors and reviewers.
