Integrating "Sustainability Relevance" into ALPS Publication Criteria
The United Nations' 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development calls upon the global community to “recognize that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth – all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests.”
As an academic institution and a responsible member of the global community, the Association of Legal & Political Studies (ALPS) is deeply committed to advancing these UN goals and indicators. Consequently, we are officially establishing "Sustainability Relevance" as a core quality evaluation criterion for all our publications.
Moving forward, every article published across all ALPS journals must explicitly address issues related to sustainable development and contribute to a more sustainable future.
We strongly encourage all prospective authors to review the targets, indicators, and implementation progress of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at https://sdgs.un.org/goals before submission. Aligning your research with these frameworks will help ensure your manuscript meets our evaluation standards and supports the 2030 Agenda toward global realization.
