Implementation of Enhanced Reviewer Guidelines, Evaluation Criteria, and Revised Article Evaluation Form

2026-06-11

To continuously elevate the transparency, academic rigor, and operational efficiency of the journal, Association of Legal & Political Studies (ALPS), in its capacity as the owner and primary publisher, has officially introduced the new Reviewer Guidelines and Manuscript Evaluation Criteria.

These comprehensive frameworks have been established to achieve a dual purpose:

  • For Reviewers: To provide a structured and standardized benchmark, ensuring that all manuscript evaluations are executed in strict alignment with the journal's core editorial policies and quality standards.
  • For Authors: To offer a transparent roadmap that enables contributors to systematically prepare and align their manuscripts with the journal's specific expectations and evaluation metrics prior to submission.

Additionally, ALPS has comprehensively updated the Article Evaluation Form to seamlessly integrate these refined criteria. Please be informed that this revised evaluation form will officially become effective for all peer-review workflows starting July 1, 2026, onwards.

The updated guidelines, criteria, and form details are now available across the respective sections of the journal's website. We highly encourage all authors, reviewers, and editorial stakeholders to review these updates to ensure full compliance ahead of the upcoming transition.

Sincerely,

Associate Professor Dr. Thanaporn SRIYAKUL

President, Association of Legal & Political Studies (Thailand)

Thai Arts and Culture Review (TACR) is an open-access, peer-reviewed electronic journal published biannually in Thai and English. The journal is published by the Association of Legal & Political Studies (Thailand) and White Tiger Legal, Business and Research Consultants Co., Ltd. (Thailand), in collaboration with the Institut Agama Islam Rawa Aopa Konawe Selatan (Indonesia). It offers a scholarly platform for rigorous, interdisciplinary research on arts and culture in their broadest sense, emphasizing their regional and global interconnectedness. TACR welcomes submissions that explore all facets of arts and culture, providing a forum for innovative, critical, and comprehensive scholarly work. The journal particularly invites articles on visual arts—from studio art to architecture and performing arts—as well as cultural practices, theories, policies, and other elements integral to cultural identity, including philosophy, religion, and language. It encourages works that engage with contemporary and traditional issues, addressing their social impacts, policy implications, and cultural dynamics within Thailand and the wider region. All manuscripts are subjected to a transparent, open peer-review process involving at least two expert reviewers to ensure high academic standards. TACR aims to foster critical dialogue, contribute to the preservation and revitalization of Thailand’s rich cultural heritage, and promote a deeper understanding of arts and culture in a globalized world.
