Development of a Database System for Assessing Satisfaction of Activity Arrangement under King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok’s Missions

Abstract

The objectives of this research aimed to: 1) develop a database system for assessing the satisfaction of activity arrangement under the mission of King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok 2) evaluate the quality of the database 3) to evaluate the satisfaction of the users using the database system. The database system was developed by using the web application: PHP language and using MySQL as the database. The tools used to evaluate the system were: 1) a questionnaire for evaluating the system quality, and 2) a questionnaire for evaluating the satisfaction toward the system. After the system was tried out and improved for its appropriateness in application, the system quality was evaluated by 6 specialists in information technology selected by purposive sampling and the satisfaction was evaluated by 58 users including administrators, teachers, directors and staff. The results showed that the system quality was at the highest level at the mean of 4.76 with standard deviation at 0.25, and the satisfaction level was at the highest level at the mean of 4.84 with standard deviation at 0.25. In summary, the database system developed is appropriate for application to assess the satisfaction of activity arrangement under the mission of King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok and the data from the system can be used to improve the future activity arrangement.
