The Utilization of Social Partnership Concept in Project Implementation of the International Rescue Committee (IRC) in the Three Southern Border Provinces

Abstract

The concept of social partnership is crucial for promoting the participation of all sectors to achieve comprehensive social welfare for all target groups. This academic article aims to extract lessons learned from the implementation of the International Rescue Committee (IRC) projects by applying the concept of social partnership in the three southern border provinces of Thailand. The project focuses on enhancing the capacity and cooperation to protect women, children, and vulnerable populations from domestic violence and disasters. The Thai Association of Social Workers serves as the main partner in the project, supporting local network partners to engage in problem-solving or providing social services. Challenges faced by project implementers include perspectives on the project's challenges and perspectives on the challenges faced by the implementers, reflecting lessons learned from the project. The IRC has established best practices for jointly building and improving the quality of social services in the three southern border provinces by placing citizens at the center of development and coordinating integrated efforts with all sectors to play a role in the efficient provision of social welfare.
