A study on attitudes toward English teachers’ communicative language teaching methods in Thayang District, under the Jurisdiction of the Primary Educational Service Area Office, Phetchaburi 2

This study aimed to investigate English teachers’ attitudes toward the Communicative Language Teaching method in Thayang District, under the jurisdiction of the Primary Educational Service Area Office, Phetchaburi 2. A survey research design was employed, using a questionnaire as the primary data collection tool. The sample consisted of 44 English teachers, selected through simple random sampling. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including mean and standard deviation. 1. The results indicated that English teachers held positive attitudes toward CLT, particularly regarding interactive classroom activities and the use of diverse teaching materials. 2. The use of games and technology was found to effectively enhance students’ communication skills. Furthermore, teachers’ language proficiency and communication abilities significantly influenced students’ learning outcomes. However, obstacles to implementing CLT included large class sizes and limited teacher confidence in using English. These findings offer valuable insights for improving English language instruction through enhanced teacher training, the integration of educational technology, and the promotion of interactive teaching approaches to increase student engagement.
