The Relationship Between Academic Administration and Teachers’ Participation Management in Schools Under Kanchanaburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 2

Abstract

This research aims to 1) study academic administration in schools and participatory management by teachers in schools, and 2) examine the relationship between academic administration and participatory management by teachers in schools under the jurisdiction of the Kanchanaburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. The sample consisted of 250 teachers, selected through stratified sampling based on educational management areas. The research instrument was a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire, with content validity ranging from 0.67 to 1.00 and reliability of 0.92. Data analysis included percentages, mean, standard deviation, and Pearson's correlation coefficient, with a significance level set at 0.05.

 The findings revealed that: 1) Academic administration in schools under the Kanchanaburi Primary Educational Service Area Office, Zone 2, was performed at a high level overall and in specific areas. Ranked by average from highest to lowest, these areas included curriculum development, learning process development, educational supervision, research for educational quality improvement, internal quality assurance system development and educational standards, development and use of educational technology, and assessment and credit transfer. 2) Participatory management by teachers in schools under the Kanchanaburi Primary Educational Service Area Office2, was performed at a high level overall and in specific areas. Ranked by average from highest to lowest, these areas included participation in decision-making, evaluation, implementation, and benefit-sharing. 3) There was a very high positive correlation between academic administration and participatory management by teachers in schools under the Kanchanaburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 2, with statistical significance.
