Abstract

This research aimed to study the supervision roles of school administrators, the effectiveness of small-sized schools and the relationship between the supervision roles of school administrators and the effectiveness of small-sized schools under Kanchanaburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 1. The sample consisted of 258 teachers in small-sized schools random sampling to the study area. The research instrument was a five-level rating scale questionnaire with content validity of 0.67-1.00 and a reliability of 0.98. The statistics used for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Pearson’s product moment correlation coefficient with a statistical significance level at 0.05.

The findings were as follows:  1) The supervision roles of school administrators under Kanchanaburi Primary Educational Service Office 1, was overall and each aspect at a high level, ranking in the order of mean from high to low as professional development, direct assistance to teachers, group development, curriculum development, and action research 2) The effectiveness of small-sized schools under Kanchanaburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, was overall and each aspect at the high level, ranking in order of mean from high to low as achievement, job satisfaction, and overall school quality management. 3) the relationship between the supervision roles of school administrators and the effectiveness of small-sized schools under Kanchanaburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, in overall, was a highly positive correlation of statistical significance.
