Communication technology is applied in current news and information in the digital age. The news report is also considered a critical tool to bring understanding, build relationships, and connect people in society. Mass media channels include social media platforms: Facebook and Twitter. Although these platforms are high-speed for news reporting, they need more discretion. The problems found are mainly related to mass media laws and morality, especially the reporting of popular and influenced news in society to the receivers. The imprudent news report possibly has a positive and negative impact. The behavior of news reporting tends to emphasize benefits and popularity more than maintaining convention and accuracy, which are the legal and ethical standard frameworks. It also causes a breach of duty and affects the receivers. Particularly in the age of digital media, news publicizing is preferred to report tragic content by live broadcasting through social media, causing a social problem. Furthermore, ethics and media morality in the digital age will influence the image of mass media, so they are essential to news reporting via live social media. Despite its better quickness in communicating to the audience, news reports via social media must be screened before their release. The news reporter must adhere to the professional ethics of mass media, morality, and social responsibility
