Problems and Motivation of 4-star hotel line staffs in Pattaya City

Abstract
This research was a qualitative research by using single case study. The objectives of this research were to study the problems and motivation of one 4-start hotel line staffs in Pattaya city and guidelines for further qualitative research. During this study, the researcher did the interview by selecting the participants for doing the pilot study research with one 4-star hotel line staffs in Pattaya city in a total of 5 participants. The data was collected from transcribing the interview and analyzed by an incredibility transcribing program with accurate and reliable information. The researcher summarized the study of the pilot study from the finding in the research of problems and motivation of one 4-star hotel line staffs in Pattaya city as follows; Part 1: The problem of motivation in line staffs was found that staff had no desire for growth along with the organization, the problems in requesting for more skill training in the work field and conflict in supporting the welfare, Part 2: The motivation of line staff was found that happy workplace, level promotion, teamwork and work as a family, and suitable working hour, Part 3: The most attractive motivation from staff in working was reasonable earning income.
