THE DEVELOPMENT OF CHINESE LANGUAGE LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT USING 3S SELF LEARNING METHOD FOR THE SIXTH GRADE STUDENTS IN MEA CHUANG MING HUA SCHOOL, MEACHAN DISTRICT, CHIANG RAI

Abstract

          The objectives of this research were to compare the differences between students’ achievement score before and after using 3S self- learning method and to study students’ satisfaction towards 3S self-learning method. The population were sixth grade students who were studying at Mea Chuang Ming Hua school, Meachan district, Chiang rai province. The sample was 35 sixth grade students who were studying in the second semester of school year 2020 at Mea Chuang Ming Hua school, Meachan district, Chiang rai province who were chosen by purposive sampling. Research instruments included 3S self-learning lesson plans, Chinese achievement test and satisfaction questionnaire. The statistics used in the research were mean ( x̅) , standard deviation (S.D.) and t-test (dependent samples). The results of this research indicated as follows: the students’ posttest score after using 3S self-learning method was significantly higher than pretest score at .05 level and the students’ satisfaction towards 3S self-learning technique was at the high level. (x̅ = 3.59, S.D. = 0.27) From the research results, it was found that the 3S self-learning method are applied to the management of Chinese language teaching. It can help learners to learn and understand the content of their own study and to increase the efficiency and achievement of learning Chinese better.
