Abstract

          This paper examines the primary purpose of resolving legal disputes in sport through arbitration by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). It explores how CAS promotes sports justice and holds individuals accountable for ethical and serious disciplinary violations arising from sports-related conflicts at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The CAS Ad Hoc Division, known for its fairness, impartiality, and efficiency, provides a mechanism for resolving disputes connected to the Olympic Games in a timely manner.

        The paper highlights the role of the CAS Ad Hoc Division in addressing unfair practices in sport and its contribution to the protection and promotion of sports justice. It also reviews notable arbitration cases from the Paris 2024 Olympics to illustrate the Division’s significance in maintaining integrity within international sport. This critical appraisal aims to strengthen the understanding and practice of Olympic sports justice by emphasizing the key role played by the CAS Ad Hoc Division.
