Thailand's preparation for foreign direct investment in the ASEAN region

The ASEAN region is becoming an attractive destination for foreign direct investment (FDI). Thailand should create a strategy to attract foreign investment, including 1) taking proactive steps whereby the government should promote investment in target industries such as automotive, electronics, and digital. These industries have high potential for growth and can create many jobs. 2) The business environment should be improved to be more conducive to foreign investors. We need to reduce government procedures and regulations. Develop logistics systems and invest in infrastructure such as roads, ports, and airports; and 3) labor skills should be developed in line with the needs of the new economy. This means investing in the education and training system. promote research and development. If successful in attracting investment, it will have a positive impact on the overall economy, stimulating economic growth and creating new jobs. It will help develop technology and labor skills. and help increase Thailand's competitiveness in the world economy.
