A study of the administrative conditions of schools based on good governance principles among administrators in opportunity expansion schools, Chumsaeng District, Nakhon Sawan Primary Educational Service Area Office 1

This study aimed to 1. examine the current state of management practices among school administrators, 2. investigate administrative practices in relation to principles of good governance, and 3. propose guidelines for governance-based school administration specifically for administrators of educational opportunity expansion schools in Chum Saeng District, under the jurisdiction of the Nakhon Sawan Primary Educational Service Area Office 1. A mixed methods research design was employed. The quantitative sample consisted of 95 administrators and teachers, as determined by Krejcie & Morgan's sample size table. The research instrument employed was a questionnaire, and the data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The qualitative component included in-depth interviews with 10 key informants, comprising academics, administrators, and teachers, with the data analyzed through content analysis. The findings revealed that the overall condition of school administration was at a high level. Academic affairs management yielded the highest mean score, whereas personnel management received the lowest score. And governance-based administration received a high overall rating, with the participation principle achieving the highest score and the ethics principle receiving the lowest score. Based on interviews with key informants, a synthesized approach to school administration grounded in good governance principles can be identified. Administrative should strictly adhere to laws and regulations and demonstrate morality and ethical to serve as positive role models for their personnel. This process should be carried out transparency, which includes disclosing information and using a committee system to ensure accountability. Management should actively encourage the involvement of personnel and stakeholders. It is crucial to defined roles, responsibilities, and operational goals clearly to promote shared accountability within the organization. Additionally, resources must be managed efficiently, following the principles of economy and the sufficiency economy philosophy, to ensure effective operation.
