The development of digital leadership of school director, under the Udon Thani Primary Educational Service Area Office

The purposes of this research were: 1. to study the current conditions, the desired conditions, and the modified priority needs index for developing digital leadership of school directors under the Udon Thani Primary Educational Service Area Office. 2. to establish guidelines for developing the digital leadership skills of school directors within the Udon Thani Primary Educational Service Area Office, and 3. evaluate guidelines for developing digital leadership of school directors in the Udon Thani Primary Educational Service Area Office. The research was conducted in three phases, using a mixed-methods approach. Phase 1 examined the current conditions, desired conditions, and essential needs related to digital leadership among school directors. A multi-stage sampling method was used to choose the samples, which included 31 school directors and 300 teachers, resulting in a total of 331 participants. The research instrument utilized was a questionnaire with a 5- point estimation scale. The reliability coefficient was found to be 0.97 for the assessment of the current condition and 0.99 for the assessment of the desired condition. Data analysis involves using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and conducting a needs assessment. In phase 2, guidelines for developing digital leadership skills among school administrators were gathered through a semi-structured interview questionnaire. Five experts served as informants. In phase 3, these guidelines were assessed by another group of five experts. The results were as follows: 1. The current state of digital leadership development of school administrators is generally high. The desired conditions were at the highest level, while the overall need falls between 0.240 and 0.269. 2. Twenty-five guidelines for developing digital leadership skills among school administrators were provided, and respondents confirmed the effectiveness of these guidelines. And 3. the evaluation of development guidelines showed that their overall suitability was at the highest level.
