Factors influencing work performance in the next normal era of employees in private companies in Bangkok

Abstract

This research aimed to: 1. Examine the level of work competency in the next normal era; 2. Assess work performance in the next normal era; and 3. investigate factors influencing work performance in the next normal era among employees in private companies in Bangkok. This quantitative study collected data from a sample of 400 employees working at operational levels and above in private companies located in the Bangkok Metropolitan Area, as calculated using Cochran's sample size formula. Data were collected using convenience sampling through a questionnaire that demonstrated a reliability coefficient of 0.985. The statistical analyses conducted included frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and multiple regression analysis. The findings revealed that: 1. overall work competency in the next normal era was at its highest level, with collaboration competency showing the highest mean score. 2. Overall work performance in the next normal era was at a high level, with appropriate work methods showing the highest mean score. 3. Professional work competency, competency in achieving organizational goals, and collaboration competency significantly influenced work performance in the next normal era at the 0.05 significance level, collectively predicting 67% of the variance in work performance.
