Guidelines for stress management affecting on the offenses of prisoners in Singburi Provincial Prison

This research aims to 1. study the causes of stress among inmates in Singburi Provincial Prison, 2. examine the level of stress among inmates, and 3. identify ways to manage stress to help reduce stress and enhance the adaptation of inmates in the future. This is a quantitative study involving a sample group of 280 male and female convicted inmates from Singburi Provincial Prison, selected through simple random sampling. The data collection tool employed was a questionnaire The statistical methods applied in this study comprised descriptive statistics, mean, and standard deviation. The results indicated that internal prison environmental factors were at a low level, while external environmental factors were at a moderate level. In general, the stress levels of inmates were low when it came to their emotions, bodies, and behavior. Furthermore, stress management approaches among inmates were at a high level, particularly in social and community support and prison welfare improvement. This indicates that these resources may play a significant role in the overall low stress levels observed among the inmates.
