Factors affecting quality of life of Wanon Niwat District, Sakon Nakhon Province

Abstract

The purposes of the research included the following: 1. To study the level of living according to the sufficiency economy philosophy and the quality of life of people in Wanon Niiwat District, Sakon Nakhon Province. 2. To compare the quality of life of people in the Wanon Niiwat District, classified by personal characteristics. 3. To study the influence of living according to the sufficiency economy principles on the quality of life of people in Wanon Niiwat District. 4. To study the guidelines for developing the quality of life according to the sufficiency economy principles of people in Wanon Niiwat District. The sample consisted of 399 people residing in the Wanon Niiwat District. The stratified sampling method was used, using a questionnaire as the data collection tool. The statistics used in data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, one-way analysis of variance, and multiple regression analysis. The research revealed these results: 1. The overall practice of living life according to the principles of sufficiency economy of the people in Wanon Niiwat District is at a high level. The overall quality of life of the people in Wanon Niiwat District was at a high level. 2. Quality of life of residents in Wanon Niiwat District, Sakon Nakhon province, differed significantly at the 0.01 level based on personal characteristics such as age, education level, occupation, average monthly income, and subdistrict of residence. The exception was gender. 3. The variables of living according to the sufficiency economy philosophy can jointly predict the quality of life of people in Wanon Niiwat District by 83.20 percent with statistical significance at the 0.01 level. When considering the sub-components of the variable of living according to the sufficiency economy philosophy, it was found that the variable with the highest regression coefficient was morality. Next were knowledge and understanding, moderation, and building rationality, respectively, except for building immunity. 4. Guidelines for improving the quality of life of people in Wanon Niiwat District are based on the principles of sufficiency economy, sustainable human and infrastructure development, and the use of district public assistance centers and village public health volunteers as the main mechanisms. Promote careers, health, education, vocational skills, digital technology, culture, and community integration under the PDCA principle and community participation.
