The development of an academic administration model based on the learning organization concept in collaboration with professional learning networks to enhance students’ lifelong learning characteristics at Bangna Commercial College

This study aimed to develop a model of academic administration based on the concept of a learning organization and professional collaboration networks to enhance lifelong learning characteristics of students at Bangna Commercial College. The study utilized the research and development methodology based on the framework established by Borg & Gall (1989), which is a systematic action research approach aimed at continuously addressing problems and ensuring practical applicability. The research process consisted of four phases: 1. analysis of fundamental information, 2. construction of the model, 3. implementation of the model, and 4. evaluation and improvement of the model. The target group comprised two administrators, twenty-three teachers, and fifteen personnel with outstanding performance. Research instruments included questionnaires, interview forms, observation forms, and satisfaction assessment forms. The findings indicated that the developed academic administration model consisted of four main components: 1. organizational management, 2. development of individuals as lifelong learners, 3. collaborative team learning, and 4. creation of a learning-supportive culture. The results of the model implementation revealed that post-training achievement scores were significantly higher than pre-training scores at the 0.05 level. The model was also found to be highly appropriate and feasible. Moreover, a comparison of students’ lifelong learning characteristics before and after the implementation showed statistically significant improvement at the 0.05 level in all aspects. Teachers reported a high level of satisfaction with the model. In conclusion, the developed academic administration model was effective and could concretely enhance the lifelong learning characteristics of students.
