Public participation and service quality affecting the efficiency of public service provision of local administrative organizations in Dong Luang District, Mukdahan Province

The objectives of this research were 1. to study the levels of public participation, service quality, and efficiency of public service delivery of local administrative organizations in Dong Luang District, Mukdahan Province, 2. to examine the influence of public participation on the efficiency of public service delivery of local administrative organizations in Dong Luang District, Mukdahan Province, and 3. to examine the influence of service quality on the efficiency of public service delivery of local administrative organizations in Dong Luang District, Mukdahan Province. The sample group consisted of 396 residents aged 18 years and above in the areas under local administrative organizations in Dong Luang District, Mukdahan Province. The research instrument was a questionnaire with a reliability coefficient of 0.94. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and multiple regression analysis. The results revealed that: 1. The overall level of public participation was high, the overall quality of service provided by local administrative organizations was high. The overall public service delivery was also high. 2. Public participation in benefit participation, operational participation, and evaluation participation had a statistically significant influence on the efficiency of public service delivery at the 0.01 level, jointly explaining 59.10 percent of the variance in service delivery efficiency. 3 The quality of service, particularly advanced service provision and continuous service provision, significantly influenced the efficiency of public service delivery of local administrative organizations in Dong Luang District, Mukdahan Province. Together, these factors accounted for 54.60 percent of the efficiency of public service delivery.
