The factors influencing employment of public administration graduates from Rajabhat Mahasarakham University

This research aimed to investigate the factors influencing the employability of graduates from the Public Administration Program at Mahasarakham Rajabhat University. The study includes personal, educational, labor market, and social network factorsม the study focused on analyzing the effects of academic achievement (GPA), English language proficiency, communication skills, internship experience duration, career counseling, and alumni networks on graduates' employment status. The sample consisted of 200 graduates from academic years 2020 to 2023, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire with a content validity index (IOC) of 0.85 and a reliability coefficient (Cronbach's alpha) of 0.73. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple regression analysis. The results revealed that four variables significantly influenced employment: internship experience duration, GPA, English language skills, and communication skills. Career counseling showed a marginally significant effect, while alumni networks were not significantly related to employment. The model accounted for 52.4% of the variance in employment outcomes. The findings suggest that institutions should enhance internship programs, integrate practical English and communication training into the curriculum, and strengthen career counseling services. These initiatives can help equip graduates with essential competencies aligned with labor market demands and improve their employment opportunities.
