Managing the Potential Development of the English Usage of the Thai Population in the Northeastern Region

Abstract

The objectives of this research are 1) To study the problem of managing and developing the English language potential of the Thai population in the northeastern region 2) To study, analyze and synthesize the use of English that affects the management and development of the English language potential of the Thai population in the northeastern region and 3) To suggest guidelines for managing and developing the English language potential of the Thai population in the northeastern region. This research is quantitative research. The sample groups used in this research are: The sample population in the Northeastern region was 400 people. The research tools used were questionnaires.

The research found that

The average weight for all 3 aspects of learning was 3.11. The S.D. value was 0.95, which can be interpreted as being at a high level while understanding and additional education. These are the top 2 areas with the highest average weight, resulting in a high level and medium level. Meanwhile Intentional side has the lowest average weight, which can be interpreted as is at a moderate level.

The average weight for capacity building in all 3 areas was 3.09. The S.D. value was 0.94, indicating that the results were at a moderate level while in continuity and training. These are the top 2 areas with the highest average weight, resulting in a high level. Meanwhile Assistance has the lowest average weight, which can be interpreted as is at a moderate level.

The level of management for developing the potential of using English has an average weight for all 5 areas equal to 3.07. The S.D. value is equal to 0.92, which can be interpreted as being at a moderate level while the evaluation side has the highest average weight, resulting in a high level. Next was the aspect of assertiveness. The results were found to be at a moderate level. In terms of progress, the results were found to be at a moderate level. And in terms of efficiency, the results were found to be at a moderate level, respectively. The application aspect had the lowest average weight, which resulted in a moderate level.
