The Development of Speaking English Practice Package By Using Task-Based Concept Integrated With Kanchanaburi Province Local Content for Prathomsuksa 3 Students

Abstract

The proposes of study were 1) To develop an English-speaking package by using task - based learning concept integrated with Kanchanaburi province local content for prathomsuksa 3 students 2) To study the effectiveness of the English-speaking package as follows: 2.1) The academic achievement before and after using the English-speaking package. 2.2) The English speaking skills of students. 2.3) The satisfaction of the English-speaking package.The target group for this study consisted of 24 prathomsuksa 3 students from BanNongTien school, Bo phloi district, Kanchanaburi province, for the academic year 2023/2. The research instruments were 1) The English-speaking package by using task - based learning concept integrated with Kanchanaburi province local content. 2) Lesson plans for the learning 3) Pre-test and Post-test. 4)English speaking assessment 5)Satisfaction survey.
The statistics used for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation (S.D.), and t-test.
The research findings revealed that:
1. The developing speaking English practice package by using task-based learning concept integrated with Kanchanaburi province local content for prathomsuksa The English speaking practice package consists of 1) Place to visit in Kanchanaburi 2) Onsite activities in Kanchanaburi. The researcher found that the effectiveness of the try-out group was 82.50/83.75, which meets the predetermined criteria for effectiveness.
2. The effectiveness of speaking English practice package by using task – based learning concept integrated with Kanchanaburi province local content for prathomsuksa3 students can be summarized as follows: 2.1) The comparison of achievement after using the Speaking English practice package higher than before learning. 2.2) The evaluation of English speaking skills students their speaking skills were at a good level. 2.3) The evaluation of student satisfaction with the speaking English practice package showed that overall satisfaction was at the highest level.
