AUTHOR GUIDELINES

OBJECTIVES
     The  Journal of Intellectual Freedom (JIF) is committed to promoting scholarly research and the dissemination of research articles and academic papers by researchers, scholars, faculty members, students, and the general public. The journal welcomes contributions in the fields of religion, language and literature, philosophy, history and archaeology, liberal arts, political science, public administration, interdisciplinary humanities and social sciences, communication and mass media studies, interdisciplinary social development, and interdisciplinary education and learning. Manuscripts are accepted in both Thai and English.

PUBLICATION FEES 
     1. Thai-language articles: 4,000 THB per article
     2. English-language articles: 5,000 THB per article
(Publication fees are charged only after a manuscript has been formally accepted for publication. Fees are applicable starting from Volume 4, Issue 1 onward.)

PUBLICATION FREQUENCY
The journal is published twice a year, with six articles per issue, as follows:
     1. Issue 1: January – June
     2. Issue 2: July – December
Beginning in Volume 4 (B.E. 2569 / 2026), the journal publication schedule will be adjusted to four issues per year, with 10–15 articles per issue, as follows:
     1. Issue 1: January – March
     2. Issue 2: April – June
     3. Issue 3: July – September
     4. Issue 4: October – December

MANUSCRIPT PREPARATION AND SUBMISSION POLICY  
     1. Authors submitting manuscripts to the  Journal of Intellectual Freedom (JIF) must ensure that their work has not been previously published and is not under consideration by another journal. Authors are required to agree to and strictly comply with the journal’s policies, formatting requirements, and submission procedures for research articles, academic articles, review articles, and book reviews.
     2. All in-text citations and reference lists must follow the APA Style, 7th Edition, using an in-text citation system. Opinions and viewpoints expressed in published articles are solely the responsibility of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of the editorial board.
     3. Authors must adhere to research ethics and must not plagiarize or misappropriate the work of others. The journal employs CopyCatch plagiarism detection software within the ThaiJO system, with a maximum similarity threshold of 25%.

Authors wishing to publish in the journal must comply with the following conditions:
     1. Authors must study and prepare manuscripts strictly in accordance with the journal’s formatting and writing guidelines.
     2. Authors must submit the manuscript file (Microsoft Word format) and contact the Editor, Asst. Prof. Dr. Krittiya Tumtong, at Tel. +66 65 516 6615 or email: jiffreedom.journal@gmail.com. Authors must clearly state their institutional affiliation and provide a direct contact phone number in the Discussion Box.
     3. Manuscripts must pass the editorial format check, and authors are required to revise the manuscript according to the editorial board’s recommendations.
     4. The content and structure of manuscripts must be approved by the editorial board before being forwarded to qualified reviewers.
     5. Manuscripts must be reviewed by at least three qualified reviewers. If a manuscript fails to pass peer review or editorial consideration, the editorial board’s decision shall be final. The journal reserves the right to reject the manuscript and does not refund publication fees under any circumstances.
     6. Once the Freedom of Wisdom Journal has been evaluated and classified by the Thai Journal Citation Index Centre (TCI) into any journal group, authors agree to accept the evaluation results without objection.
     7. Revised manuscripts must highlight all changes in red font to allow the editorial board to verify revisions. Failure to highlight revisions will be considered non-compliance. The revised manuscript (Microsoft Word file) must be resubmitted within one month after the review results are communicated.
     8. Even after acceptance, if the author cannot be contacted, fails to revise the manuscript, or submits revisions beyond the specified timeframe, the journal reserves the right to revoke acceptance and cancel publication. Notification will be sent via the email registered in the system only.
     9. The editorial board reserves the right to adjust the publication order of accepted manuscripts without prior notice if submission procedures or documentation are incomplete.
   10. Authors are responsible for monitoring the progress of their manuscripts. Notifications will be provided through the journal system.

MANUSCRIPT PREPARATION GUIDELINES
     1. Authors must strictly follow the journal’s manuscript format.
     2. Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format only.
     3. Manuscripts must be prepared on A4 paper, 10–15 pages in length (including references), single-sided, using TH Sarabun PSK, font size 16 pt, 1-inch margins on all sides, single line spacing, and paragraph indentation of 7 spaces.
     4. Tables and figures must be clear and include captions beneath them in 16 pt regular font, labeled as Table 1, Figure 1, or Model 1. All visuals must include concise and complete explanations consistent with the manuscript content.
     5. The title must be presented in both Thai (TH Sarabun PSK, 20 pt, bold) and English (uppercase, TH Sarabun PSK, 18 pt, bold), centered on the first page.
     6. Author names (Thai and English, 16 pt) must not include academic titles or honorifics (except for monks). Names must be aligned to the right beneath the title, with superscript numbers indicating institutional affiliations.
     7. Abstracts must be provided in both Thai and English:
         - Academic articles: not exceeding 350 words
         - Research articles: not exceeding 500 words
     8. Provide 3–5 keywords in both Thai and English.
     9. Arabic numerals must be used throughout the manuscript.
   10. Manuscripts must be submitted via the ThaiJO online system at the journal website.
