Abstract

The objective of this research is twofold: Firstly, to study the behavior of students in terms of punctuality using the method of conditional contracts. Secondly, to compare the punctuality behavior of students before and after implementing the conditional contract method against a 70% benchmark. The research tools include 1. Evaluation forms for classroom attendance behavior. 2. Conditional contracts for adjusting attendance behavior.3. Daily attendance records provided by the school's registrar's office. Statistical analysis was conducted, and the research findings revealed that before the implementation of conditional contracts, the majority of students displayed inconsistent punctuality in attending classes. After the implementation, there was a noticeable improvement in punctuality behavior among students. Before the intervention, most students arrived late to class, with only a small percentage arriving on time. However, after the implementation, there was a significant increase in the number of students arriving on time, with some exceeding the 70% benchmark. Overall, the use of conditional contracts effectively fostered a more punctual environment, leading to positive changes in student attendance behavior. This suggests a potential for further adjustments in management or teaching methods to continuously support improved student punctuality in the future.
