Factors Affecting the Development of Thai Tourism in Phuket Province

Abstract

The objectives of this research are 1) To study and analyze factors affecting the development of Thai tourism in Phuket Province 2) To study the problems and factors affecting the development of Thai tourism in Phuket Province and 3) To suggest factors affecting the development of Thai tourism in Phuket Province. This research is quantitative research. The sample groups used in this research are: The sample population in Phuket Province was 400 people. The research tools used were questionnaires.

The research found that

The average weight for all 3 aspects of management is 3.17. The S.D. value is 0.92, which can be interpreted as being at a high level. While planning and speed were the areas with the highest average weights, the top two were at a high level. Meanwhile, the operational aspect has the lowest average weight, which translates into a moderate level.

The average weight for strengthening in all 3 areas was 3.12. The S.D. value was 0.91, which can be interpreted as being at a high level. While Support and Repair were the areas with the highest average weights, the top 2 results were at a high level. At the same time, the maintenance aspect had the lowest average weight, which resulted in a moderate level.

The level of tourism development has an average weight of all 5 aspects equal to 3.15, an S.D. value of 0.91, which means that it is at a high level while in terms of tourist satisfaction has the highest average weight, resulting in a high level. Followed by the economic aspect, the results were found to be at a high level. In terms of sustainability, the results were found to be at a high level. and environmental conditions were found to be at a moderate level, respectively. The efficiency aspect had the lowest average weight, which resulted in a moderate level.
