Development of a supplementary curriculum on learning discipline for primary school students at Ban Lat Yai School

Abstract

This research the objectives are to 1. Create a supplementary curriculum on study discipline for primary school students 2. Find out the effectiveness of a supplementary course on study discipline for primary school students. The research is carried out in the form of research and development, divided into 4 steps: Step 1) Studying and determining the structure of the supplementary curriculum for learning discipline. Step 2) Drafting the supplementary curriculum for discipline in learning. Step 3) Considering the appropriateness of the supplementary curriculum for learning discipline. And step 4) finding the effectiveness of the supplementary curriculum the supplementary curriculum was tested with Grade 6 students at Ban Lat Yai School. Under the Chaiyaphum Primary Educational Service Area Office, Area 1, academic year 2021, 70 students for 30 hours. Hen check the effectiveness of the curriculum. The tools used in the research were 1) a knowledge test about discipline, 2) a practice ability assessment form, 3) a student satisfaction questionnaire. Data were analyzed with a ready-made program to find percentages, averages, standard deviations, and t-test values.

The research results found that 1. The supplementary curriculum for learning discipline has a structure of 2 parts. 1.1) is the components of the supplementary curriculum. There are 7 elements: (1) principles of the supplementary curriculum (2) basic concepts in creating the supplementary curriculum (3) objectives of the curriculum. Supplementary
(4) content and duration of the supplementary curriculum, (5) learning management process, (6) learning management media, and (7) measurement and evaluation. Part 1.2) is the learning activity plan, consisting of 5 plans: Map (1) Basic content about having discipline in studying. Map (2) Punctuality in studying. Map (3) Responsibility in studying. Map (4) Diligence in studying. Study and Map (5) Honesty in Studying 2. The effectiveness of the supplementary curriculum on learning discipline for primary school students is 2.1) Students have higher knowledge about learning discipline after using the curriculum than before using the curriculum. 2.2) Students have the ability to practice discipline in studying at a good level.
