Abstract

The objectives of this research report are: 1) to study and analyze the principles of Buddhist Dharma and the King's Science for self-defense and fostering a happy social environment in the new normal after the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak in the Huay Tang community. Ban Hong District, Lamphun Province 2) To integrate the principles of Buddhadharma with the science of the King 3) To convey the model of integration of the principles of Buddhadharma with the science of the King This research is qualitative research by collecting field data through in-depth interviews and focus groups, which can be summarized as follows:

The results of the research showed that: 1) The principles of the Buddhist Dhamma teach to understand the truth of the Dhamma world. Meditation is beneficial for the mind, adapting attitudes to the events that are encountered. Strengthening communities After the COVID-19 situation, the 4th principle has been applied to daily life very well. Tradition and culture are activities that lead to harmony within the community. The application of the Four Noble Truths is the basis for rational thinking. 2) There is an integration of the tradition of showing respect to the old people that is respected in the community. Making merit to give alms, listening to the Dhamma New rice eating tradition is held in the village for the 4th month of Peng. 3) Temples and communities have passed on the principles of Buddhist Dhamma and the science of sufficiency economy philosophy to help in times of crisis after the COVID-19 situation. Community Precept 5 is to strengthen one's own peaceful life and the community to understand life in the new normal.
