Current Condition of the Student Loan Fund for Students in the Science and Technology Faculty Group at Mahasarakham University

Abstract

The objective of this research is to study the current condition of the student loan fund for students in the Science and Technology Faculties group at Mahasarakham University and to explore guidelines for its development. The sample consisted of 393 students in the Science and Technology Faculties group at Mahasarakham University who received student loan funds. The research instrument was a questionnaire. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics such as frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation.
        The results revealed that the students’ opinions on the current condition of the student loan fund were at a high “level l” in the following aspects: 1) reporting of the student loan results, 2) following up after the contract, 3) public relations, 4) conducting an agreement, and 5) conditioning of borrowers’ selection. The guidelines for developing the student loan fund operation are to consider the selection of borrowers. The staff should clearly publicize the criteria for consideration and qualifcation of borrowers, including the contracting process.
