A Study of the Relationship between the Procurement Management Process and Effective Procurement Management According to Supply Chain Operation Reference Model at Mahasarakham University

Abstract

Procurement, also known as supply. is an important relation in the supply chain and Influences the overall success of an organization.
The purpose of this study is: 1) to investigate purchasing factors and efficiency procurement according to supply chain operation
Reference Model at Mahasarakham University, and 2) to investigate the relationship between procurement management process and
the effective procurement management according to supply chain operation reference model at Mahasarakham University. The Subjects of the study comprised 65 procurement experienced staffs in Mahasarakham University, by using opened table method of Krejcie and Morgan. This is the simple random sampling, the instruments used in this research are questionnaires, as well as the useful statistical approaches i.e. Mean, Standard Deviation and Pearson’s correlation coefficient (t-test) were purposively applied. The results were found that the average result was 4.49. Overall, it was at a high level. The relationship between the factors affecting the procurement process and the effectiveness of procurement at Mahasarakham University is at a high level (r_xy=0.87) Significant at 0.01.
