A Study Soft Skills of Graduates in the Faculty of Science, Mahasarakham University

The objective of this research was to study the needs of entrepreneurs for soft skills needed for graduates in the Faculty of Science, Mahasarakham University, and to formulate guidelines for the activities development of the Faculty of Science to meet the needs of graduate users. There were 138 participants.The instrument of this study was a questionnaire. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics including frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation.
The results revealed that the soft skills of graduates, that the entrepreneurs’ sought were life and career skills. The average was at a high level ( = 4.41, SD = 0.67). There were also necessary skills that graduate users needed, namely: 1) responsibility for career development, 2) flexibility, 3) adaptability, 4) leadership, 5) interpersonal and social skills, 6) knowledge-seeking in all aspects, 7) taking care of oneself, and 8) learning about culture. The guidelines for the activities developed for students in the Faculty of Science to meet the needs of entrepreneurs were life and career development skills, focusing on activities that allow students to have critical
thinking, flexibility, self-responsibility, social responsibility, good leadership skills, self-confdence, and adaptability.
