PARTICIPATION IN THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE LAMPHAYAKLANG SUBDISTRICT ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANIZATION MUAK LEK DISTRICT SARABURI PROVINCE

Abstract

The objectives of this study were to examine and compare the levels of people’s participation in the administration of the Lamphayaklang Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Muak Lek District, Saraburi Province, classified by personal factors. The population consisted of residents aged 18 years and above living in the area under the jurisdiction of the Lamphayaklang Subdistrict Administrative Organization in 2025 (B.E. 2568), totaling 9,230 individuals. The sample size of 383 respondents was determined using Taro Yamane’s formula. The research instrument was a Likert-scale questionnaire. The statistics employed for data analysis included percentage, mean, standard deviation, Independent Samples t-test, one-way ANOVA (F-test), and pairwise comparison using Scheffe’s method.

The findings revealed that:

            1.The overall level of people’s participation in the administration of the Lamphayaklang Subdistrict Administrative Organization was high. The highest mean score was found in decision-making participation, followed by operational participation, evaluation participation, and benefit-receiving participation, respectively.

1. People residing in the Lamphayaklang Subdistrict Administrative Organization who differed in gender and occupation did not show significant differences in their overall and aspect-specific participation. However, individuals of different age groups exhibited statistically significant differences at the .01 level in overall and aspect-specific participation, except for participation in evaluation, which showed no significant difference.
