SOCIAL WELFARE ARRANGEMENT FOR THE ELDERLY OF SUAN CHIK SUBDISTRICT ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANIZATION, SRI SOMDET DISTRICT, ROI ET PROVINCE

Abstract

The research purposes were 1) to study the social welfare arrangement for the elderly of Suan Chik Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Sri Somdet District, Roi Et Province; and 2) to compare the the social welfare arrangement for the elderly of Suan Chik Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Sri Somdet District, Roi Et Province according to the personal factors. This research was the quantitative research. The research population was the 1,049 elderly living in the area of the Suan Chik Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Sri Somdet District, Roi Et Province, 14 villages; Taro Yamane's calculations resulted in a sample group of 289 elderly. The research instrument was the questionnaire. The data analysis statistics were the percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, one-way Analysis of Variance, and method of Scheffe.

            The research findings were:

            1.The social welfare arrangement for the elderly of Suan Chik Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Sri Somdet District, Roi Et Province found the overall of elderly satisfaction on the social welfare arrangement for the elderly was at the moderate level; when descending mean were the health aspect, the general social services aspect, the education aspect, the recreation aspect, the work and income aspect, respectively.

1. The elderly having different gender, age, and occupation had the satisfaction on the social welfare arrangement of the Suan Chik Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Sri Somdet District, Roi Et Province did not different.
