บทคัดย่อ

ความเชื่อมโยงระหว่างการศึกษาในระดับอุดมศึกษาและตลาดแรงงานกลายเป็นประเด็นสำคัญมากขึ้นเรื่อยๆ ในระบบการศึกษาสมัยใหม่ ในประเทศไทย แม้ว่าการศึกษาขั้นพื้นฐานจะมีระบบที่เป็นระเบียบเพื่ออำนวยความสะดวกให้นักเรียนก้าวหน้าในแต่ละระดับการศึกษา แต่การศึกษาในระดับอุดมศึกษายังขาดกรอบการทำงานที่สอดคล้องกันเพื่อช่วยเหลือบัณฑิตในการเปลี่ยนผ่านสู่ตลาดแรงงาน ส่งผลให้บัณฑิตจำนวนมากต้องหางานทำด้วยตนเอง โดยขาดความช่วยเหลือจากสถาบันที่เชื่อมโยงผลการเรียนกับความต้องการของตลาดแรงงาน ทำให้เกิดความไม่สอดคล้องกันในเชิงโครงสร้าง งานวิจัยนี้จึงมุ่ง (1) ประเมินความบกพร่องเชิงโครงสร้างในระบบการเปลี่ยนผ่านของบัณฑิตระหว่างสถาบันอุดมศึกษาและตลาดแรงงานในประเทศไทย และ (2) ประเมินระดับที่มหาวิทยาลัยประสานผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการศึกษากับความต้องการของตลาดแรงงาน งานวิจัยนี้ใช้วิธีการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพโดยอาศัยการทบทวนวรรณกรรมที่เกี่ยวข้อง นโยบายการศึกษา และรายงานตลาดแรงงาน ผลการวิจัยแสดงให้เห็นว่ามหาวิทยาลัยไทยเน้นการจ้างงานของบัณฑิตเป็นหลัก โดยให้ความช่วยเหลือด้านการเป็นผู้ประกอบการและการสร้างงานน้อย นอกจากนี้ กลไกของสถาบันต่าง ๆ เช่น ระบบการจับคู่การจ้างงาน บริการให้คำปรึกษาด้านอาชีพ และความร่วมมือระหว่างมหาวิทยาลัยและภาคอุตสาหกรรม ยังไม่ได้รับการจัดตั้งอย่างเพียงพอ ข้อจำกัดเหล่านี้ส่งผลให้เกิดความไม่สอดคล้องกันของทักษะและจำกัดโอกาสในการทำงานของบัณฑิต รายงานฉบับนี้สนับสนุนให้เสริมสร้างความร่วมมือระหว่างมหาวิทยาลัยและภาคอุตสาหกรรม สร้างระบบสนับสนุนด้านอาชีพที่แข็งแกร่ง และบูรณาการการสอนด้านการเป็นผู้ประกอบการเข้ากับหลักสูตรการศึกษาระดับอุดมศึกษา ความริเริ่มดังกล่าวจะช่วยปรับปรุงระบบการเปลี่ยนผ่านของบัณฑิตและส่งเสริมการเติบโตของบัณฑิตในฐานะผู้ประกอบการมากกว่าเป็นเพียงผู้หางาน
