Lessons Learned from the Success of Wat Trai Nuea Witthaya Buddhist School in Terms of Academic Achievements

Abstract

This research aims to extract lessons from the academic success of Phra Pariyattidhamma School, Wat Sai Nuea. It employs a qualitative research methodology, involving document analysis and in-depth interviews with 24 key informants, categorized into four groups: (1) school administrators, (2) teachers and educational personnel, (3) students, and (4) representatives of parents. The primary research tool utilized was the "Lesson-Learning Butterfly" model, and the data were analyzed using descriptive content analysis. The research findings indicate that students possess desirable characteristics: being competent, virtuous, and happy. The main goal is for students to acquire these attributes along with essential life skills. Key achievements include awards received from various competitions. Mechanisms for academic success involve disseminating academic work to relevant organizations. The pride of the school stems from the tangible academic outcomes of the students, which contribute to organizational development. The academic process and activities (building people + outputs) are systematically and comprehensively planned during the implementation stage. Challenges and obstacles in extracting academic lessons within the school include students' reluctance to express themselves. Recommendations for improvement and development include the necessity of strategic planning, comprehensive development plans, and the integration of modern technology to enhance academic performance.
