Public Participation in Water Management for Agriculture of Mae Sa Sub-District Administrative Organization, Wiang Sa District, Nan Province

Abstract

This research article aims to: 1) study the level of public participation in water management for agriculture. 2) Compare opinions on people's involvement in agriculture-related water management, broken down by personal factors. 3) Study problems, obstacles, and suggestions for public participation in agriculture in Mae Sa Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Wiang Sa District, Nan Province. They are conducted according to the integrated research method. Quantitative research: This is survey research. The population is 352 people aged 18 years and over. Data is analyzed by finding frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. T-Test, F-Test, and Comparison and Qualitative Research By conducting in-depth interviews with ten key informants or people and using the technique of summarizing content to present guidelines, the research results found that 1) public participation in water management for agriculture is at a high level. And public participation in water management for agriculture according to the principles of Iddhipatthamma. Overall, it is at a high level. 2) People of different ages, education levels, and incomes have different opinions on participation in water management for agriculture. Statistically significant at the 05 and.01 levels, while other aspects were not different. 3) One problem and obstacle is the need to increase the budget for operations. Some people could be more involved in the operation. The suggestion is that water management for agriculture involves administrators, and the officers and employees are kind. Show goodwill. Be ready to provide assistance and solve problems and obstacles for people. Both build confidence in the water management of the subdistrict administrative organization and that various operations are based on rules, regulations, and laws.
