Conservation Guidelines for Long Drums of Jum Chang Village, Umma Sub - District, Phon Thong District, Roi Et Province

Abstract

Objectives of this research were: 1. To study the conservation of Isan long drum circles, 2. To analyse problems and obstacles for Isan long drum circle conservation, and 3. To suggest ways to solve problems and obstacles for Isan long drum circle conservation. This research was the qualitative research, collected data by in-depth-interviewing the key informants, consisted of 7 target groups, namely 1). Village Headman 2). Assistant Village Headman 3). Leader of the Isan Long Klong Band 4). Member of the Isan Long Klong Band 5). Klong Yao Academician 6). People and 7). Village Scholars The results of Problems and obstacles in preserving the Isaan long drum circle was found that modern youth lacked interest in learning to preserve this cultural art. and the issue of solutions to problems and obstacles in the conservation of the Isaan long drum circle, it was found that training activities should be organized to promote local arts and culture including inviting the public and those interested in the community to listen to information and exchange knowledge about promoting the preservation of this beautiful art and culture.
